The Monster House

No, we are not on the show "Monster House" (although I think it's extremely cool).  We call this the Monster House because it has taken over our lives for the past year. Now it's almost finished, thank goodness.  Here are some pictures.  Remember, the house is still in progress, so it is certainly not clean!  You'll see strange things, like refrigerators in living rooms...

These pictures were taken with my phone camera, and most of the time, with limited lighting, so they are not great.  What you can tell, however, is that the house is colorful.  I am definitely not a 'neutrals' person.  Why live with dull old beige when the world is full of lovely, vibrant COLOR!

This is the front of the house in October

Back side of the house - October

     Inside view of front door

The handpainted sinks we bought in New Mexico; the top one is for the guest bath, and we have two of the bottom ones for the master bath.

The tile in the master bathroom, before grouting

The shower - we would have rather used the blue all over, but thought the fully glazed tile would be easier to clean.  The grout is gray.

The master bedroom fireplace, before grouting

The living room.  The ceiling starts at 13', and vaults to about 20'.

A closer view of the marble tiles - yes, it's pink!

The bonus room.  You may not be able to tell, but it's pink, also.

     Grouting the kitchen floor

View from kitchen to dining room

Kitchen island (residing temporarily in the dining room)

Guest room (you'll have to turn your head sideways - sorry about that)

Kitchen sink backsplash, with accent tiles made with polymer clay!  And here's a closer view -
